Advanced
Security
Specialist Course
This motivating course of
instruction will identify those skills, attributes, and techniques you need to
reach a higher level of competence and respect as a security professional. You
will learn how to (1) win Senior Management support for your efforts (2) provide
a security education and training program second to none, and (3) persuade your
employees to take ownership of the Security Program. John Waller, a four-time Cogswell
award winner and NCMS Donald B. Woodbridge award recipient will share with you
the lessons he has learned over a 45-year security and intelligence career.
These “lessons learned” will help you to move your security program to a higher
level and to earn the respect and admiration of your peers and seniors.
Upon completion of this course, you will better understand the goals and
objectives of classification management and how to provide effective security
guidance to a sub-contractor via the contract security classification
specification. The class will include practical application exercises (marking
classified documents and completing a DD Form 254) as well as instructor-led
briefings and class discussions. John will share with you his passion for
security training and some of the “internet treasures” he has found to support
an exemplary security education and training program at your facility.
